Aaron Daniels, Chief Executive Officer, is a dynamic, growth-focused executive with more than 36 years of strategic, financial and operating experience in building and transforming companies. He has a proven track record in successfully growing companies and unlocking synergies to significantly increase valuation and stakeholder returns. Together with CEOs and  leadership teams, he has been responsible for value creation by executing the companies aggressive organic growth and mergers and acquisitions plans, while continuing to build out rapidly-scalable company infrastructures. He has led several significant buy-side and sell-side transactions for his companies.

Prior to founding Beyond Velocity, Aaron was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Cognosante, a company broadly recognized for their significant (“hyper”) growth and valuation over the past several years. Cognosante was, and is today, recognized as a visionary leader in the public-sector health IT industry. During Aaron’s tenure as EVP and CFO, Cognosante and several of its executives were nominated for many prestigious industry and professional awards. Notably, Aaron was selected as a finalist in the 2015 NVTC CFO of the Year awards. Today, Aaron continues to advise Cognosante as a Strategic Advisor.

Before joining Cognosante, Aaron served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Argon ST, Inc. a leading public defense technology company that was sold to Boeing in 2010 (at a record valuation). As a key member of the executive team, he helped grow revenues from approximately $250 million to $400 million in four years with significant improvements in profitability, cash generation and company valuation. He effectively partnered with the Board and CEO to drive dramatic change in the organization. His responsibilities included strategy, finance, investor relations and operations as well as M&A strategy and evaluation. Aaron received CEO and Board nominations for the 2009 NVTC CFO of the Year awards.

Prior to Argon ST, Aaron was Senior Vice President Finance and Treasurer of InPhonic, Inc., a rapid-growth venture-backed technology company named #1 on the 2004 Inc. Magazine list of the fastest growing 500 private companies. InPhonic went public in 2004. Aaron also served in senior finance roles at other Washington, DC-based technology and media companies including The Washington Post Company. Aaron began his career as a tax professional with Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC).
